THE THRESHOLD INFORMATION QUANTITY ANALYSIS
(TIQA)
FORMULATION AS THE NOVEL MANUFACTURING PERFORMANCE INDEX
Our software implements the Threshold Information Quantity Analysis (TIQA), a novel performance index designed for manufacturing systems. TIQA uniquely quantifies and visualizes the relationship between automation efficiency and human operational input through a calculated ratio, enabling real-time decision-making via Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts. The TIQA score is derived from a proprietary set of formulas combining sensor-based automation metrics with human-related safety and efficiency indicators, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and structured risk assessment models. The method is implemented in a Python-based software script that processes temperature sensor data, calculates TIQA scores, and generates corresponding threshold bands to support predictive and prescriptive maintenance decisions. This innovation presented offers a scalable, data-driven solution to enhance industrial performance visibility and control.
